About Health at Hand Therapeutic Massage

Laura Young-LangankeHealth at Hand was founded by Laura Young-Langanke CMT. Laura has been practicing massage therapy for over 10 years  and is truly passionate  about holistic living and therapeutic massage for optimal health. Many believe she has an innate and intituitive ability which guides her work.

Laura is a graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy (CSMT) in 1998. Shortly thereafter, she completed her 75 hour Myofascial Certification at CSMT in 1999 and has completed her Advanced Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy training in 2006. Laura has also been awarded her 100 hour Zen Shiatsu Certification at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2009. She has been a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 1997.

Laura has been known for her deep tissue and clinical work. She has been studying Asian bodywork for several years now to deepen and balance her work. Drawing from her western background and blending  asian bodywork theory and technique, she offers a truly integrative approach to her massage work. Combing her wisdom, experience, and through continued graduate studies, she continually seeks to expand and refine her practice.

She is grateful to have the opportunity to live and work in Summit County. She lives with her wonderful husband Mark and her baby son Hayden. She enjoys an active lifestyle of skiing in the winter and hiking and biking in the warmer months. Laura also loves to cook, read, travel, sing and dance!

Laura has recently decided to follow a long-time dream of becoming a Master Herbalist. She has plans to complete a 4 year program in the future, striving to be a knowledgeable resource to her clients, family and community.
